Why will I love it?Gynura aurantiaca has captivating purple foliage and velvety texture; a low-maintenance houseplant that can elevate a space with its charm.

How do I keep it alive?Water when the top inch of soil dries out, ensuring proper drainage to prevent root rot. Use a tropical plant potting mix and a pot with drainage holes. Reduce watering in winter. Use a balanced liquid fertiliser every four to six weeks from spring to early autumn, and mist regularly. While it can grow up to a metre tall in its native habitat, it’s manageable as a houseplant with regular pruning.
